The city of Veria is a Biblical city, is a city which is mentioned in the Bible.
It is mentioned in the book of Acts, chapter 17 and verses 10 to 15.
During Paul’s second apostolic tour about 2000 years ago, since the Jews from Thessalonica expelled him , came to the city of Veria. Once arrived in the city, he went to the Synagogue of the Jews.
The Jews of Veria were more polite than the Jews of Thessaloniki - who had him expelled from Thessaloniki - and daily with much eagerness they were studying the scriptures if really the teaching of Paul is true.
From the preaching of ap. Paul many Jews were saved. Not only Jews, but many Greek men and women and among them many VIPs.
So we see that there was a great blessing for the city of Veria, with the visit of ap. Paul. Many people accepted Jesus Christ and His work of salvation on the cross.

How beautiful it is a city to accept Jesus!
How important is a city to have Jesus Christ!
How important are the official people of a city to accept Jesus Christ.
Then will come a blessing in this city. There will be peace. There will be love among the citizens.

Blessed is the city where its governor respects God. He will be a wise administrator.
However, the devil incited the Jews of Thessaloniki and came in Veria where they upseted the citizens against Paul and disciples. But the disciples arranged the escape of ap. Paul in the sea and then he went to Athens.
This brief story through the Bible has much to teach us. Firstly, the workers of the Gospel are prosecuted. We see the ap. Paul to leave Thessalonica chased and comes in Veria, where again due to the Jews escaped to Athens. Nobody greeted him with honors. So he fulfilled in his own life the Word of the Lord: all those who want to live piously, will be prosecuted. In addition, God's people are not fighting. If some happen to want battles and troubles, Christians always abstain. They are peacemakers.

Το παρήγγειλε ο Ιησούς Χριστός να γίνεται.

Ο τρόπος μας : Ευαγγελίζουμε μοιράζοντας φυλλάδια που περιέχουν αποσπάσματα από τον Λόγο του Θεού την Αγία Γραφή με την δυνατότητα αν κάποιος ενδιαφέρεται και μας καλέσει να του προμηθεύσουμε δωρεάν μια Καινή Διαθήκη.
Έχουμε πάντα μαζί μας Καινές Διαθήκες, στην περίπτωση που κάποιος ενδιαφέρεται να του την δώσουμε απευθείας δωρεάν. Αυτό που κάνουμε ακόμα, όταν κάποιος μας ρωτήσει, του μιλάμε για την αγάπη του Ιησού Χριστού, για την ανάγκη να διαβάσει ο ίδιος τον Λόγο του Θεού, για να γνωρίσει ποιό είναι το θέλημα του Θεού στις περιστάσεις της ζωής του.
Ακόμα μιλάμε για τις προσωπικές μας εμπειρίες, το πώς γνωρίσαμε τον Ιησού Χριστό και το πώς ενήργησε μέσα στην ζωή μας.

Η πρόθεσή μας : Πρόθεσή μας είναι οι άνθρωποι να ενδιαφερθούν να γνωρίσουνε τον Ιησού Χριστό και να ενδιαφερθούν να γνωρίσουν τις αλήθειες του Ευαγγελίου και ακόμα να γευτούνε την αιώνια ζωή που προσφέρει ο Θεός.

Our way: Evangelizing by distributing brochures containing parts from Word of God, the Bible with the possibility if anyone is interested in and invites us to supply him a free New Testament.
We always have New Testaments with us, in case someone is interested in getting one for free. What we also do, when someone asks us, we talk to him about the love of Jesus Christ, the need to read himself the Word of God in order to know what is the will of God in the circumstances of his life.
Furthermore, we talk to him about our personal experiences, how we met Jesus Christ and how he acted in our lives.

Our intention: Our intention is people to be interested in knowing Jesus Christ and be interested in knowing the truths of the Gospel and even taste the eternal life that God offers.

Πρώτο βήμα:Κάνω μια προσευχή

Προσεύχομαι ο Κύριος να ανοίξει τον νου και την καρδιά μου,  να καταλάβω τον Λόγο του, για να έχει ωφέλεια ο Λόγος του Θεού στην ζωή μου. Π.χ. "Κύριε Ιησού Χριστέ, άνοιξε μου τον νου και την καρδιά  να μπορώ  να διαβάζω τον Λόγο σου και να τον καταλαβαίνω." Βλέπε Λουκάς κδ΄ 45, Πράξεις ιστ΄ 14  

Δεύτερο βήμα: Κάνω ανάγνωση Βλέπε Α΄ Τιμ. δ΄ 13, Ησαΐας λδ΄ 16

Διαβάζω προσεκτικά το κομμάτι του Λόγου που επέλεξα, σαν να είναι κάτι το πολύ σπουδαίο και δεν θέλω να μου ξεφύγει ούτε μια λέξη. Καλό είναι να σημειώνω τις άγνωστες λέξεις και να τις βρίσκω σε ένα καλό λεξικό.  Βλέπε Α΄ Σαμουήλ γ΄19  

Τρίτο βήμα: Κάνω αφήγηση Βλέπε Εβραίους ια΄ 32

Περιγράφω με απλά λόγια το κομμάτι που διάβασα από τον Λόγο του Θεού. Επειδή η Παλαιά Διαθήκη έχει πολλές ιστορίες, η αφήγηση είναι ιδιαίτερα χρήσιμη και ωφέλιμη. Με βοηθάει να συνειδητοποιήσω τι είναι αυτό που διάβασα.   

Τέταρτο βήμα: Στοχάζομαι και μελετώ  Βλέπε Ψαλμός α΄ 2

Σκέπτομαι πάνω στα  Λόγια του Θεού και ψάχνω την Γραφή μου και κάνω συγκρίσεις, ερωτήσεις και συσχετισμούς. Παρακολουθώ με ενδιαφέρoν τα κηρύγματα της εκκλησίας που είμαι ενταγμένος και κάνω και ερωτήσεις στους υπευθύνους της εκκλησίας και στους αδερφούς και συζητώ και με άλλους τα Λόγια του Θεού. Πρέπει να προσέξω, τα αποτελέσματα της μελέτης μου πρέπει να στηρίζονται  και να συμφωνούν με τον Λόγο του Θεού. Πρέπει να γνωρίζω, ότι ο Λόγος του Θεού ερμηνεύεται από τον ίδιο τον Λόγο του Θεού με την οδηγία του Αγίου Πνεύματος. Με αυτόν τον τρόπο ερευνάω, μελετάω και στοχάζομαι πάνω στον Λόγο του Θεού.   

Πέμπτο βήμα: Υπογραμμίζω και σημειώνω Βλέπε Ματθ. ιγ΄ 52

Υπογραμμίζω τα ποιο σημαντικά εδάφια του κειμένου που διάβασα.Υπογραμμίζω ακόμη, ότι μου έκανε ιδιαίτερη εντύπωση και με άγγιξε. Βάζω ερωτηματικά στα σημεία που δεν κατάλαβα. Με τον καιρό η μελέτη του Λόγου του Θεού θα με κάνει να μπορώ να καταλαβαίνω εδάφια που ήταν εξαιρετικά δύσκολα. Η Αγία μου Γραφή σιγά σιγά στολίζεται και την αγαπάω όλο και πιο πολύ. Επίσης προσπαθώ να βάλω έναν τίτλο στο κομμάτι του Λόγου του Θεού που διάβασα. Για παράδειγμα "η θεραπεία ενός παραλυτικού".  

Έκτο βήμα: Καθρεπτίζομαι στον Λόγο του Θεού.

Βάζω το εαυτό μου στον Λόγο του Θεού. Κάτι έχει να μου πει ο Λόγος του Θεού προσωπικά. Πρέπει να πάρω την αγαθή μερίδα μου, τα μηνύματα που έχει να μου δώσει. Μπορώ να αισθανθώ έλεγχο, ενθάρρυνση, παρηγοριά, οικοδομή …και άλλα κατά την διαδικασία αυτή.  Βλέπε Ιάκωβος α΄ 22-25,  Β΄ Τιμ. γ΄16  

Έβδομο βήμα: Αποστηθίζω. 

Μαθαίνω απ’ έξω κάποια σημεία ή εδάφια κλειδιά που θα με βοηθήσουν στην χριστιανική μου πορεία.  Για παράδειγμα "εν ειρήνη θέλω και πλαγιάσει και κοιμηθεί διότι Συ μόνος, Κύριε, με κατοικίζεις εν ασφαλεία." Αν φοβηθώ το βράδυ και δεν μπορώ να κοιμηθώ, αυτό το εδάφιο θα μου είναι χρήσιμο.  

Τελευταίο βήμα: Προσευχή και ευχαριστία.

Ευχαριστώ τον Θεό για όσα μου χάρισε από τον Λόγο του και προσεύχομαι να  μου δώσει χάρη και δύναμη να εφαρμόσω τα λόγια που διάβασα στην ζωή μου. Δεν προσεύχομαι γενικά, αλλά προσεύχομαι συγκεκριμένα με βάση τα Λόγια που μελέτησα.  Π.χ. "Κύριε Ιησού Χριστέ, όπως βοήθησες τον Πέτρο και τον έβγαλες από τα κρύα νερά βοήθησε και μένα, γιατί και εγώ έχασα την πίστη μου στα προβλήματα που ήρθαν στην ζωή μου και απογοητεύτηκα. Δώσε μου το χέρι σου Κύριε." Προσεύχομαι για συγκεκριμένα πράγματα τις προσωπικής μου ζωής με βάση τα Λόγια της Γραφής που μελέτησα.  

Αυτά τα βήματα μελέτης έχουν σκοπό να σε βοηθήσουν να μάθεις να αγαπάς και να μελετάς τον Λόγο του Θεού. Σύντομα θα αποκτήσεις το δικό σου προσωπικό στυλ μελέτης της Αγίας Γραφής. Αυτό που έχεις να κάνεις  είναι να αρχίσεις να μελετάς και ο Θεός θα σε φωτίσει.  

First step: Make a prayer

I pray to the Lord to open my mind and my heart to understand His Word, to have benefit the Word of God in my life. Eg "Lord Jesus Christ, open my mind and heart I can read your Word and understand him." See Luke 24, 45 and Acts 16, 14

Second step: Make reading See I Tim. 4, 13 and Isaiah 34, 16

Carefully read the part of the Word that I chosed, like it's something very important and I do not want to miss a word. It’s good to jot down unfamiliar words and find them in a good dictionary. See I Samuel 3, 19

Third step: Make narration See Hebrews 11, 32

I describe in simple words the part I read from the Word of God. Due to the fact that the Old Testament has many stories, narration is very useful and beneficial. It helps me realize what it is that I read.

Fourth step: Think and study See Psalm 1, 2

I think the words of God and am looking my Bible and make comparisons, questions and correlations. I follow with interest the sermons of the church and I'm integrated and make questions to those responsible of the church and to the brothers and discuss with others the Word of God. I need to watch the results of my study should be supported and agree with the Word of God. I know that the Word of God is interpreted by the same Word of God by the direction of the Holy Spirit . By doing this, I make research, study and reflect on the Word of God.

Fifth step: I underline and jot See Matt. 13, 52

I underline the most important passages of the text that I read. I also underline, what specifically impressed me and touched me. I put question marks to the points I did not understand. Over time, the study of the Word of God will make me understand verses that were extremely difficult. The Holy Bible is slowly revealed to me and I love it more and more. I Also try to put a title on the part of the Word of God that I read. For example, "treatment of a paralytic".

Sixth step: I look myself based in the Word of God.

I put myself in the Word of God. THe Word of God has something to tell me personally. I should get my portion of the virtuous, the messages that it has to give me. I can feel control, encouragement, consolation, building ... and others during this process. See James 1, 22-25 and 2 Tim. 3, 16
Seventh step: I memorize.
Ι learn some parts or key verses that will help me in my Christian course. For example, "in peace I lie and sleep because You alone, Lord, you live in me in safety." If fear at night and cannot sleep, this passage will be helpful.

Last step: Prayer and thanksgiving.

I thank God for what he gave me from the Word and I pray to give me grace and power to make the words that I read reality in my life. I don’t pray in general , but I pray specifically to the words that I studied. Eg "Lord Jesus Christ, as you helped Peter and took him out of the cold water, help me because I also lost my faith as well due to the problems that came to my life and was disappointed. Give me your hand Lord." I pray for specific things of my personal life based on the Words of God that I studied.

These steps of study are intended to help you learn to love and to study the Word of God. Soon you will have your own personal style of studying the Bible. What you have to do is to begin to study and God will help you.
