Jesus Christ just before He ascended gave the following instruction to the disciples:
"Behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.” Luke 24, 49
What dis the Lord meant when He told them to wait for the promise of the Father and must clothed strength on high?
The answer is inside the Word of God.
"And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them.
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in diferent languages as the Spirit gave them utterance." Acts 2, 3-4
So fire appear as languages on each of the disciples, filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in tongues as the Holy Spirit gave them. The promise of the Father was the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
Point of baptism in the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues. We see in 120 in the upper room on the day of Pentecost to speak in tongues. Furthermore, we see speaking in tongues as a sign of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the house of Cornelius as well.
"And the believers from among the circumcised who had come with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out even on the Gentiles for they were hearing them speaking in tongues and extolling God". Acts 10, 45-46
There are many references in the Bible for the baptism of the Holy Spirit and how it is perceived (speaking in tongues). The foreign languages that speak those who are filled with the Holy Spirit are not vague or unfocused. They are specific languages that the speaker doesn’t know. This is shown in Acts 2, 6-13, where those who listened to the apostles on the day of Pentecost to speak in languages they could understand them. Specifically:
"we hear them telling in our own tongues the mighty works of God" Acts 2, 11
So then it is not something human or coincidence but is a very big miracle that can experience every man who asks it from the Lord in his prayer.

Is it important for someone to get baptized in the Holy Spirit?
The baptism in the Holy Spirit is very important for the spiritual progress of the believer . It gives inner strength which is essential to move forward in the road of faith.
After the baptism of the Holy Spirit we see the frightened disciples transformed into preachers of the truth of the Gospel. The power that the Lord said clothed was the power of the Holy Spirit. He gave them boldness and never got afraid again, but spread everywhere the truth and had the power to witness for Christ.
Through the baptism of the Holy Spirit the gifts of the Holy Spirit are acting such as prophecy. The gift of prophecy is acting within the church and the Lord using holy and pure people comforts, strengthens, encourages and witness the future.
Not accepting the baptism of the Holy Spirit leads to a poor spiritual life. So, our humble advise to everyone who reads these lines is to ask the baptism in the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit in order to enjoy a pure spiritual life.
